The Tunisia Office of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University, in collaboration with the The Mediterranean Seminar are pleased to announce a forthcoming academic workshop:

Mapping Tunisia in Mediterranean Studies: Approaches to Research and Professional Development in the Humanities and Social Sciences

In this workshop,

Prof. Julia Clancy-Smith, Professor of History at the University of Arizona,

Prof. Brian A. Catlos, Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Colorado, Boulder,

Prof. Sharon Kinoshita, Professor of French Literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz,

Prof. William Granara, Professor of Arabic and Comparative Literature, Harvard University

will offer talks and conduct discussions around the field of Mediterranean Studies, with a specific focus on Tunisia.

The second-day sessions of this workshop will be dedicated to methodology of research and professional development in the scholarly field of Mediterranean Humanities. Graduate students and aspiring scholars who are interested in participating to these sessions need to send us a brief resume and cover letter in which they present their research interests.
