About the guest speaker:

Chaima Bouhlel is a political analyst and independent consultant to civil society organizations in the fields of decentralization and governance. She contributes to a prime-time TV news talk-show where she comments on the political events in Tunisia. Previously, she served as program Director of Barr al-Aman, a Tunisian media that aims at improving public policies (2017). She co-hosted a weekly radio program that focuses on evaluating public policy on the Tunisian National Radio (2016). In 2015, she joined al-Bawsala to launch Marsad Baladia, an observatory that monitors municipalities across the country; and she was elected President of al-Bawsala in 2016. Chaima Bouhlel holds a B.A. from Harvard University.
