A Book Talk by Amr Madi, Preceptor in Arabic at Harvard University
Amr Madi is Preceptor in Arabic at Harvard University. He earned his master's and doctoral degrees from Alexandria University in Egypt, specializing in literary criticism in the Middle Ages.
Since 2010, he has been involved in teaching Arabic as a second language. He has previously held positions as a lecturer at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, the University of Texas at Austin, a visiting lecturer at Michigan State University, and at the University of Pittsburgh. In the Arab world, Amr has served as a lecturer at Alexandria University in Egypt, the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies in Qatar, and the Summer Program at Al-Akhawayn University in Morocco. Additionally, he conducted research for the UAE Ministry of Culture. Amr has also contributed as a content developer for the Arabic Flagship Program and worked as a tester and rater for several years with Language Testing International (LTI), the exclusive licensee of ACTFL.
Amr Madi will be in conversation with Nader Uthman, Senior Preceptor in Arabic and Director of the Modern Language Programs at NELC, Harvard University
